Bookbuzz 2015
Last year, over 200,000 students in approximately 1,500 schools received books as part of the Bookbuzz scheme. Bookbuzz is back once again this autumn with a brand new set of books. Run by Booktrust, Bookbuzz aims to get great books into the hands of Year 7 and 8 students. The initiative enables schools to give their students books from among list of 17 fiction, non-fiction and poetry titles. The deadline for registering for the scheme is Thursday 23 July. “Particularly positive effects” with AR in independent study by Education Endowment Foundation
Accelerated Reader has been found to increase the reading age of pupils by 3 additional months in just 22 weeks, according to the results of a randomised controlled trial published by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF).
