April 16, 2021

What Kids Are Reading is the largest annual study of the reading habits and trends of students across the UK and Ireland, using data from a variety of sources including Renaissance Accelerated Reader data. Accelerated Reader is a reading practice programme allowing students to take comprehension quizzes on books they’ve read.

Last year, we added nearly 2,000 quizzes to Accelerated Reader. The Quiz Writers’ Choice Award is a chance for us to celebrate the ones we liked the best. It’s a selection of books chosen by the AR Content Team for being the most outstanding titles quizzed in the last year. Each book is very special and very well deserving of praise.

With the launch of the What Kids are Reading 2021 report launch fast approaching, below are details of Primary and Secondary, Fiction and Non-Fiction books longlisted for our Quiz Writers’ Choice Awards. And don’t forget – you can click here to pre-order the report ready for its launch on 29th April!
