Overall, the most popular authors list has not changed much (see table 15) – just the order of authors has changed. Kinney remains top but Dahl and Walliams have changed places, Dahl now being second. Alice Oseman creeps up the list and increases her number of reads.
The Primary table of Most Popular Authors (see table 16) also contains much the same authors as the same list last year: only the order of them has changed slightly. Kinney heads the list and Dahl has moved to second place, knocking Walliams down to third. Michael Morpurgo creeps in at number 10.
The Secondary table of Most Popular Authors (see table 17) is again headed by Jeff Kinney, J. K. Rowling moving up to second, displacing David Walliams into third. After this comes Alice Oseman, just as last year, but with a much greater number of reads. Beyond this, Dahl, Palacio and Collins are in much the same places as last year. Orwell and John Boyne remain in the list. Michael Morpurgo replaces John Steinbeck.
